The food is fun, quirky and delicious at The Botanist Chester

I absolutely LOVE dining out – I always find it a real treat and even though I’ve eaten at The Botanist Chester quite a few times, I still thoroughly enjoy it…. the food presentation is unique and fabulous for kids and grown ups alike, and everything is so tasty.

I had lunch recently with my good friend Karl Rosedale from Baker Tilley and it was great to catch up with him…

The Botanist is always buzzing, the atmosphere is great and the staff are always charming!

And if you haven’t visited yet, the décor is simply fabulous with a gorgeous roof garden.

But lets get back to the food, which us fun, quirky and delicious!

I had the cheese fondue to start  (perfectly accompanied with crudités and fresh bread). Karl had the calamari which was gorgeous, and there was plenty of it!

Karl opted for the classic Caesar salad for main course and I went for the rotisserie chicken with piri piri sauce.. it was GORGEOUS! The chicken was so succulent and the sauce was divine.

Seeing as it was a work day we didn’t have time for dessert but I can guarantee that all of The Botanist puddings are delicious!!

My lunch was accompanied by one of their sublime non-alcoholic cocktails; WATERMELON DEW (Watermelon, mint, lime juice and watermelon syrup).

The Botanist is open till late at weekends and they have live music every evening, look out for their sing-along Thursdays which start on Thursday 7th August.

And right at the top there’s a lovely private dine room, perfect for 10 guests for any occasion.

I enjoyed it so much that I went back the following week for my birthday lunch – we all tucked into a selection of starters on the roof terrace – it was perfect!

10 out of 10 from me!!
