BEAR GRYLLS AND THE BOYS GO WILD ON ANGLESEY

RIBRIDE – adventure boat tours

It was a beautiful Friday afternoon and myself plus wing-man James had organized our playlist and set out in the WLC Mini – roof off of course – to Holyhead, Angelsey.

Talk about a MINI Adventure! We were lucky enough to have been invited by the RibRide team to join them on their brand new on-water adventure, and this was no ordinary boat! This was BEAR GRYLLS boat, and we all know that chap does nothing by halves, don’t we!! This 30ft ‘Explorer’ RIB is the actual boat that Bear toured the Antarctic with, in a word – magnificent!

We arrived in Holyhead marina and met the delightful Jo who had organized the guest list (honoured, thank you Jo), and gleened a bit more info on this brand new joint venture between Bear and the Boys!

This new addition to the RibRide fleet is a proper piece of kit, its uber-sturdy, incredibly comfortable, and skipper / RibRide owner Phil had a little bit of fun with us with speed which we all loved, it was exhilarating and so exciting! (but you just know its capable of so much more!)

This rib is an experience in itself, but the actual trip around islands and high cliffs of the north coast of Anglesey is breathtaking. How Phil managed to navigate this monster rib deep into the caves was incredible (see pics!), and we were so glad that he did as the ambience was magical!

There are a number of new adventures with Bears Rib (you can see them all on the website), we did the Cogarth trip which includes cliffs, seabirds and caves. These cliffs are amongst the highest in Wales and the Stack Lighthouse (built in 1809) is worth a trip all on its own.

Phil and his fellow skippers have so much knowledge of this area and regularly stop at key locations to educate you with their fabulous stories.

You can book individual seats for a great family day out, and you can charter any of the ribs exclusively with your very own be-spoke package, perfect for corporate away days and special celebrations.

A massive thank you to RibRide owners Phil and Tom – James and I thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon and we can’t wait to come back and enjoy more of your incredible Bear Grylls adventures!!

The tours are scheduled and currently run on Saturday, Sunday, Tuesdays and Thursdays and can be booked online or call 03331234303.

It costs £30 per adult and £20 per child for the one-hour Gorgarth trip. The two-hour Skerries ride costs £45 per adult and £30 per child.
